A prime Jones would have knocked out Sigmon midway through the fight, but even at 49 years old, he was just so much better than his opponent. Even with the torn biceps in his left arm that Jones says he sustained recently.
But before he stepped out of the ring, he also said he wants UFC's Anderson Silva.
"That's the only fight Roy Jones maybe will come to the ring for," he said.
10th round: Jones is now taking more of the lead. And it looks like he's trying to figure out how to stop Sigmon. Midway through the round, Jones picks up the pace again, pot-shotting Sigmon. But it looks like we're going to have to go to the judge's scorecards. He ends his career with about a 10-punch combination. Sigmon lands an overhand right, but it doesn't affect Jones. Forbes scores it for Jones.

Overall: Jones 99-91
Ninth round: Sigmon is back to throwing tons of punches at Jones' body. It's having minimal effect. Jones lands two shots to Sigmon's belly, and those were more effective than the 50 Sigmon has thrown this round. Midway through the round, Jones lands a plethora of hooks on Sigmon's chin. Forbes scores it for Jones.
Overall: Jones 89-82
Eighth round: At this point, I guess, really, the only question left in this fight is if Jones will stop Sigmon before the end of the 10th. Or if Jones will really try to make it happen. I'll tell you one thing. Sigmon is throwing less punches this round. It looks like he's simply trying to survive. Man, Jones throws about a 10-punch combination. Not much big landed, but he's still looking fresh. Near the end, he lands a big left hook that forces Sigmon to take a step back. Forbes scores it for Jones.
Overall: Jones 79-73
Seventh round: Jones with a double uppercut and a left hook to the body. That was a nice combo. Jones turns southpaw for a seconds and lands a straight left. With a minute left, Jones can't stop landing these hooks to the head. Jones is talking to people at ringside, as he continues to blast Sigmon. Forbes scores it for Jones.
Overall: Jones 69-64
Sixth round: Jones is still doing plenty of damage with uppercuts. He's not throwing many punches, but he's still being much more effective than Sigmon. With about a minute left, the two trade solid shots. Nothing Sigmon is doing is hurting Jones. But it was probably the best back-and-forth action of the night. Forbes scores it for Jones.
Overall: Jones 59-55
Fifth round: Sigmon has lost his mouthpiece for the second time in the fight. His corner is not moving too fast to replace it. Sigmon lands a couple of punches to Jones' head. But he's slapping with them. Sigmon lands a little more, and he's actually in danger of winning this round. And he does. Jones just didn't do enough. Forbes scores it for Sigmon.
Overall: Jones 49-46
Fourth round: Sigmon continues to back Jones into the ropes. He's trying hard. But Jones is landing combinations at will. Nasty uppercuts, ghastly-looking hooks to the body. It feels like it's only a matter of time for Sigmon to fall for good. Forbes scores it for Jones.
Overall: Jones 40-36
Third round: Jones is jabbing away. When they clinch, Sigmon still throws body punches. Maybe he feels like, at some point, they'll begin to hurt Jones. It's not a bad thought. It'll certainly slow down Jones. Jones rips a big left to Sigmon's body and then a right uppercut to his chest. Sigmon lands a right to Jones' head. Jones responds with two left hooks to the body. In the last 30 seconds of the round, Jones hit Sigmon with three nice left hooks to Sigmon's chin. Forbes scores it for Jones.
Overall: Jones 30-27
Second round: Sigmon wings plenty of punches to the body, but they're not having any kind of effect on Jones. And you have to wonder if Sigmon is just going to tire himself out. Jones lands a big right uppercut, and then he mugs for the crowd. He's clearly having fun in there, and he's not having to do much work in order to win these rounds. He's moving around with his hands at his sides, daring Sigmon to try to hit him. Then, Jones hits him with a right cross. Jones was more active this round, and he's showing off his speed. Sigmon has nothing for Jones at this point. Forbes scores it for Jones.
Overall: Jones 20-18
First round: A little more than two years ago, I wrote that Roy Jones should retire after he got destroyed by Enzo Maccarinelli. But here we are. Jones has a bit of a belly and some love handles. I mean, he looks great for a 49-year-old. But for a boxer, eh, I've seen him look much, much better. Sigmon goes to the body early, and Jones hangs on the ropes and ties him up. Jones is laughing already, and it looks like he doesn't have much interest in throwing punches. I don't really know what he's doing. Finally, after about a minute, Jones throws a few short uppercuts. But these guys have been bear-hugging for half the round. Sigmon lands a left hook that doesn't any damage. Jones goes to the body with left hooks. But Sigmon is definitely out-working him, shoe-shining Jones to the body. And now Jones comes alive, landing combos that land flush. Jones looked great for about a half-minute, and he wins the round because of it. Sigmon is already bleeding. Forbes scores it for Jones.
Overall: Jones 10-9
Roy Jones ring walk: He's got dancers accompanying him at the entrance. He's dancing, and he's been standing at the top of the ramp for about a minute now. He's loving the spotlight one last time.  And he's really breaking it down now, gyrating more to the music and slapping hands on his way to the ring.
Scott Sigmon ring walk: He walks to the ring quickly, and he's not smiling. He does look fairly relaxed, though, as he rests his arms on the ropes.
Here comes Roy Jones!: But he's not fighting yet. He's accompanying Ikram Kirwat to the ring. And why? It's because he trains her.
Kirwat, a lightweight, is 8-1 with 5 KOs, and she's facing Angel Gladney (9-13, 6 KOs).
It reminds me of how Jones pulled double duty in 1996 when he competed in a minor-league pro basketball game in the afternoon before stopping Eric Lucas that night. Though Jones is working two jobs tonight, I imagine he'll be less physically stressed this evening.
